An Exhibit by Photographer Frank Kaczmarek at The Gilded Edge
Salem, CT (October 11, 2010) – The Gilded Edge Custom Framing and Gallery is pleased to present Following Nature: an exhibit of original film photographs by Frank Kaczmarek from October 12th to November 20th.
Frank Kaczmarek of Oakdale, CT is a naturalist and freelance nature photographer. Following Nature is an exhibit of over 25 new photos that chronicle his journey into the natural world of New England. Each image captures the intimacy, poetry and beauty that surround us but we often fail to see.
Prints of Mr. Kaczmarek’s photographic images have been exhibited in art galleries and businesses throughout New England and in Washington, D.C. His work also has appeared in various calendars, college textbooks and in other published works. Mr. Kaczmarek is the author and photographer of New England Wildflowers, a field guide recently published by Globe-Pequot Press. He also provided all the photographic images for the book Fall Foliage: The Mystery, Science and Folklore of Autumn Leaves written by Charles G.W. Smith and published in September 2005. Mr. Kaczmarek currently serves as an adjunct instructor in biology at Mitchell College in New London and Goodwin College in East Hartford.
Mr. Kaczmarek’s photo credits include Nature’s Best Magazine, Sierra Magazine, National Wildlife, Nature Photographer, Nature Conservancy, Northern Woodlands, Outdoor and Travel Photography, Birder’s World, Country Life, National Fisherman, The Plant Cell, and Peterson’s PHOTOgraphic.
