The Gilded Edge Helps Local Family
When the poplar TV show "Extreme Makeover:
Home Edition" selected a
local family from Voluntown, CT to be the recipients of a new custom built
home, The Gilded Edge was proud to donate custom art frames for the project.
We had the privilege of donating over sixteen custom frames of assorted sizes with mats and glass.
The “extreme” part of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is that the entire
project had to be completed in just one week, so our frames had to be cut and assembled in an “extremely” timely
fashion. Our “extreme” experience, however, was nothing in comparison to that of the
site workers who worked 24/7 in cold, rainy weather and mud.
The best part of the being involved in this project was seeing the smiling faces of the workers
and well-wishers, especially the children, when we dropped the off the frames. It was gratifying
to be a part of something so special to benefit a family so deserving.
"Extreme Makeover: Home Edition", which has won back-to-back Emmy Awards as Best Reality
Program (non-competitive), is entering its 6th season on ABC. The program is produced by Endemol
USA, a division of Endemol Holding. Anthony Dominici is the executive producer; and David Goldberg
is the president of Endemol USA.
