Greener Pastures Rescue,
located in Salem, CT, is a not for profit volunteer organization dedicated to finding new homes
and better lives for unwanted, neglected and abused horses in Connecticut. This past August and
Sptember 2005, The Gilded Edge held an online auction for the benefit of Greener Pastures who
received a portion of all exhibit sales. All proceeds from the auction went directly
to Greener Pastures Rescue.
Participating Artists
Connecticut equine artists who participated in the benefit were Linda Tenukas of Berlin (oil), Alecia
Barry Underhill of North Grosvenordale (oil), Elaine Juska Keeley of Lisbon and Colchester (pastels),
Mary Femniak of Simsbury (oil), Jan Royce Conant of East Haddam (oil and watercolor), and Stever
Aubrey of Lyme (bronze). All artists showed originals; some offset prints, giclees and note
cards which were also available for purchase.
