Artist Bio
Elaine Juska Keeley received her formal art training from Parsons School of Design in
New York City, graduating in 1986 with a BFA in illustration. Her work experience in the art field
has varied from working as an intaglio printer in an East Village intaglio studio, to in-house
illustration and book design for a New York City publisher. Currently specializing in the pastel
medium, her work has been juried into numerous shows across the country, and has twice received
scholarships awards from the Pastel Society of America to further her studios at the Lyme Academy
of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, Connecticut.
Elaine is a member of various local and national art associations, including the Pastel Society
of America, the American Academy of Equine Arts, and the Connecticut Pastel Society, with whom
she spent three yeas as Exhibition Chairperson. She is currently the School Director for the Glastonbury
Art Guild School in Glastonbury, Connecticut and teaches both adult and children’s classes.
Elaine paints and offers private lessons in her art studio in Colchester, Connecticut.
